Virus TI automation question

Hey gang...
So i just picked up the TI Desktop on Friday afternoon. I'll spare you the long story... but I want to confirm that in LOGIC you can record automation data when i twist the knobs on the TI itself.
I'm running digital performer currently... and it doesn't record the plug-in automation or MIDI CC data when using the Virus Control plug-in.
If I run the TI in stand alone MIDI mode... Performer records all my knob twists as MIDI CC data.. and it works perfectly. but the second i load up the Virus Control, I can't get any automation to record via the USB midi.
any experienced users that can help out i'll fed ex you a case of beer or something... |

in cubase theres two types of automation, CC which i never use anymore except for my jp8000, and the crazy vsti automation i dont know what its called. i like the way you draw it better with vsts though.. you have to be an artist to draw CC automation in cubase.
anyway in VC you have to right click on what you're going to automate, and select add to automation list. then in cubase you click the 'W' on the top bar of VC then press play, so then its writing automation and it records all knob tweaks that you added to the automation list, whether you tweak them in VC or on the TI. |

Ok... so you're automating the VC plug in. Gotcha. thanks.
I'll get this all figured out eventually. In Digital Performer currently, its not recording the plug-in automation at all. Makes me wanna jump to Logic as I've been putting it off for some time now. |
