On February 2, 2007 bringthebeats is producing a landmark event for the Canadian Electronic Dance Music industry. One of the world’s top DJ talents, Toronto’s Luke Fair, will be performing live within the intimate confines of the ultra stylish It’s Not a Deli in the heart of Toronto’s Art and Design District.

EDM fans across Canada will also have the opportunity to catch the performance as the entire event will be streamed live on blogTV.ca as part of the website's national introduction to the online community. The broadcast will be the first of its kind anywhere in the world.

All proceeds from this SOLD OUT event will be donated to the Yonge Street Mission. Anyone interested in making a donation to the Yonge Street Mission on behalf of the event, can do so here.

Download the official press release.

Check out Luke's recent live in studio mix for Justmusic.FM in Hungary. The quality of the rip is a little suspect, but it's a very cool set that will give you an idea of what you can expect to hear live on blogTV.ca this Friday.

This is a fantastic cause. I added a new item on my website, gets very good traffic, and I also added it to DIGG.COM. For those familiar with digg, here is the link to digg it:

The more Diggs it gets, the more exposure it receives and more people benefit!

I think since all proceeds go to benefit the Yonge Street Mission, this item isn't 'spam'. Events like these need as much coverage as possible, I made my donation thanks to it!

just because it is a charity event doesnt mean it isnt spam. event postings have dedicated forum.

You would have to be quite the stick in the mud to feel that events like this don't deserve a little more coverage than most other events. In this world of 'take', not nearly enough people give.

People are pouring time and effort into this event and giving all the proceeds to a charitable cause.

I post events in the event forum often but I was kind of up in the air on where I should put this one. I didn't put it in there this time because it's a sold out event and only available online. Sorry folks.

And blogTV's technology is the first of it's kind. Okay actually second, as it originates from Israel never has there been an event like this on their site.

It should be a pretty cool broadcast if all goes as planned. We have our fingers crossed.

Thanks for the support above. The Yonge Street Mission is a great cause.

chinamon: You have to be the worst spammer with your never ending picture threads. Funny that you'd be quick to point the finger.
