another way to tell if it is GHB or not (i was told this by a bouncer from another venue) is to shake it. if the liquid creates bubbles then it is not GHB. i dont know if that is true or not. |
No it's not true at all;) No need to go into detail lol |

Im suprised they did, last time for ultra-spin my buddy had visine, and he refused to give it to the bouncers at the door, so they just said put it in ur eye, because apprently you'll go blind if u put a drip or two in (according to the Bouncers) so he did, and there was no problems |
yee i know last weekend at gallery they threw mine out too, except she whipped it out before i could even say anything to her
but im sure if you said you need it they would make you put some in your eye to make sure its legit |

Was at GuV by 10:30.
MO played a lot of current tracks.
I do not listen to house at home, but when at GuV if it is not Trance/Prog, I assume it is house.
Music was good, room to dance on the floor, and it did not get too warm.
Had a good time on Residents night.
My friend was stopped at the door for BeanO of all things.
I guess when you are not trying to bring anything on the restricted list, you do not think about the legal things :) |

Great review man, Im glad you had a good time. The way you descirbe the music really reminds me of the first time I heard EDM at a club. Its just wicked!

I could not have been more wrong about liking his set!! As soon as I 'figured out' so-to-speak how house music 'works' I immediately got into it. Since I've been into this scene I have been used to nothing but trance: huge build-ups, very energetic tracks, melodies, and so on. I had always felt that house was somehow too repetitive, not energetic enough, and just lacking something to make it sound really great to me. Last night changed all those feelings!
From about 1:30am-4am I spent the vast majority of my time in the Main Room. Mark Oliver's set was so hard it blew me away: I couldn't believe some of the stuff I was hearing. One of the best things about the house he spun last night (plus a few trance tracks here and there) was the constant booming base: it rocked my whole body, the bass never let up, and it didn't allow me to stop dancing--all day today I have had these crazy basslines in my head! Also, talk about build-ups! I realized how trance build-ups differ from house build-ups but this is not to say I didn't enjoy the latter: quite the contrary! I must have heard about 75 wikkid wikkid build-ups last night: ppl screaming, the strobe lights, hard hard hard stuff...it was just incredible. I couldn't resist: I got up on the podium/deck-thing on one of the sides of Main Room and just danced for at least a solid hour.
WOW!!! |
