| i have a laptop and i want to record a mix. i have no line in, i ruled out using my USB. I'm going to get a PC Card with a firewire connection. heres the question what external box do i need to go between my mixer and the connection? Brands,where can i get them,and how much? |

You're out of luck with firewire soundcards... unless you want to buy the MOTU one but that's definately overkill for just recording a mix.
I don't know why you ruled out USB... emagic 2|6 is good and so is the digidesign mbox... but again, these are also overkill.
Do you have a free pmcia slot on your laptop? |

y dont u use a Y cable???
its got a mini jack on one end (this goes into your computer) and the other end is RCA's :D |
