The first Transitions was just all over the place, I really didn't like the electro opening, too many ups and downs in the wrong place, but it had so many out standing tracks and a diversity of different sounds, it was great to see Digweed mashing them all together.

The second Transitions had a proper intro like someone mentioned before, a direction and better flow. But there weren't many outstanding tracks compared to the first or just in general. All the tracks sounded alike and were very linear in style, which made for good mixing or a boring time to listen to. They all had this tech house vibe.

Transitions Vol II was more on the chill & mellow side. Maybe after a few more listens, I'll like it even more.

Is it just me.. or did SVD copy Grasshopper from that first track?? Because the middle part in the first track and Grasshopper sound IDENTICAL!!! anyway.. This Transitions is made much better.. but has no huge notable track like the first one (Rocco - Roots4acid)

I'll agree that nothing stands out as a dancefloor killer or anything that outstanding, but I think that's what gives this CD a lot of replay. Won't get too boring after a lot of listens. Plus there's 3 or 4 tracks on there (I forget which ones because I've only the promo) that are just :eyes:

There's a great idea, but yeah... if I had the disc I would take your great suggestion. Move along buddy, I'm only asking those who are willing to help.

You don't have the disc but you know the track you're looking for is on the cd?

transitions part 1 was really good , i thought. i was curious as to how #2 was going to turn out. someone mentioned it being more chill - which actually makes me want to hear more now.

(btw, explanations are better than just plain saying its good or bad) :)

Unless the dj/artist states as so, I really don't think a mix cd is intended to work well with a dance floor. It is just supposed to be a well put together cd that is enjoyable to listen to and Transitions 2 is just that!

Indeed. I have listened to it for about five times now, enough for me to make a decent judgement (90% of the CD's I listen to don't even get this far).

It's good. Really good. Nothing for the dancefloor, but as has been said above, I don't think it's meant for that. Individual tracks from this mix could work very well on the dancefloor though, and I think that's an asset a really good track should have. Being top notch both on the dancefloor and when listening to it at home.

It's indeed a bit different from vol. I, as it is somewhat deeper, but it does get pretty danceable near the end, just as the first installment did.

Class.

There's a few dance floor tracks. Some of which he's actually played. Evil Hinko, G-Stylz, Dirk Technic, Guy Gerber, and as clovis said that Tobi Nuemann remix. Danceflo fo sho!
