how many of you use a foreign flag when you're actually American?

I've noticed a large portion of users have some part of the US as their location, yet display a different flag. There are others who don't list the US, in their location, but mention how they live in the US, all while having a foreign flag. Are you all really that ashamed?
Frenchie
Maybe because they want to rep. where they are from as opposed to where they live. They aren't that ashamed if they have their state or city listed.

I would say that that are probably lots of people that come from other countries, and still use the flag from their home. Or, that people have cultural heritage from other countries, and choose to display it.

Good question. I used the Irish one because my parents are from there, however in debates when I've spoke to people I got the old your Irish not British (I have a British passport) so I thought it my signature can represent my roots and I'll change the flag to the union jack.

Have you ever heard the expression "These colors never run"?

I guess most US people here are living by that rule simply by keeping the flag hanging on their front porch ( making sure it never touches the ground! G-d forbid! ) and when online they use another flag to their liking for X reasons.

Cause you know .... their flag is never going to run away :p

I hold a flag all the time. Flag holding is a big hobby of mine. ive warn out 13 Australian flags this year already!

Yes, it does.

I was born and raised in Denmark. I came to the US in 2003 to attend university. I'll go home soon. Yay!

Why would it mean I'm ashamed?
