365MAG ON AIR: VOTE FOR MIX OF THE YEAR
The end of the year inevitably brings change as one prepares for the new year ahead. Traditionally, its a chance for reflection as well as excited anticipation. For the music industry the same is true of course. 365Mag On Air has had its busiest year to date in 2006, with a monthly Proton Radio slot, syndication to stations worldwide and a regular podcast service via Dutch site Groove Collection.
The cream of the worlds DJs as well as up and comers in the scene have had the pleasure of stepping up to the decks, CDJs and laptops to turn in powerful and inspirational mixes for you, the discerning music lover. Guests DJs in 2006 included Sander Kleinenberg, Desyn Masiello, Nic Fanciulli, Sharam Jey, Pete Heller, Chris Fortier, Tom Stephan, Gabriel & Dresden, Filterheadz, Danny Bonnici, Frederik, 365LIVE!, J-Punch, Mili Sefic and Vortex.
Show host Paul Sparkes: ''Every week we discuss the output of the show at 365Mag HQ and make a conscious decision on who to commission to do a mix; we know 365Mag readers are very discerning when it comes to quality'".
''Some of the shows have been recorded at some of the top festivals and club events, highlights including Sander closing Pacha and playing at Ministry, Chris Fortier playing the last set on the 365Mag stage at Rockitt Open Air on a boiling hot day and an exclusive Nic Fanciulli studio mix, while Chicago's up and comer Mili Sefic got the message boards going with a sublime hour worth of tunes. For me personally, Frederik from Sitrep was amazing recently too.'
365Mag On Air looks specifically for mixes that include much original material and cutting edge sounds. The sets go out monthly on Proton and are syndicated to various other stations worldwide, and the entire 2006 catalogue is available via the Groove Collection links below.
