do u really need 78RPM??? for those that have this option on your tables; is this option really necessary??
DJTJ
In a word, No.

Nothing's been recorded at 78rpm since about 1937, and it's fairly unlikely that a DJ is going to play anything from that era in a set. So I'd say it's fairly unlikely that you'll ever need it.
DJ Darchinova
only really 33 and 45rpm are essential
and they are always standard
Great Outdoors
I've never used that option in my life. I have it on my turntables, though.
Dj Thy
Nah, the reason why 78 RPM has made a big comeback is that jungle and d&b deejays have had a period that they played basic hiphop breaks at 78 RPM, and those sped up breaks fitted well in their sets...

Do you have turntables? Some of your records are recorded at 33, others at 45. If you put a record on at 33 speed and it sounds really slow, that means the record is 45 rpm. Just press the 45 button and it will be going the right speed.

Tracks are recorded to either spin at 33 or 45 RPM. On the label of most records it will say what speed the tracks are recorded at, but usually you just have to listen to the track to determine what speed to play it at.

Now, as for the reason for the 2 speeds. I have no idea.

33rpm = more track
45rpm = better sound

78rpm is def not needed. as for the jungle kids spinning 33rpms and 78rpms. way to destroy the music.

well thats just my opinion
