Anyone own a MDG Computer?

I'm sure we've all seen the commercials and countless ads in the paper for these cheap computers...
Does anyone actually own an MDG computer? I've heard nothing but problems with them. People saying that they lie about what exactly they put in the computer and actually lie about the product. I remember someone saying they completely made up names for some of their HDDs to make them seem more attractive to the buyers.
Has any of this changed? I have some friends who want a cheap computer but I told them to avoid MDG...is still true?
Anyone here have an MDG computer that works and hasn't had any problems? |

Really eh? Thats good to hear. I had a friend who bought maybe a year ago, and he had tons of problems. His LCD screen shorting out and there was a huge Green line right down the centre..and this happened w/ two of his monitors..
He kept have HDD errors and stuff like that.
It may be an exception, but I haven't heard much positive stuff about it.
I wouldn't mind buying a cheap desktop to "play" around on and stuff like that. |

i applied online to get one...or w.e the ur supposed to do
the site said i will be contacted shortly and i still havent got a word from them..its been 2-3 weeks
from what i know they over charge big time
go to Dell.ca....better deals better computers |

MDG is Garbage!!!! The parts other that the cpu(obviously) i.e. Motherboard are of the lowest quality out there!!!
Dell is way better quality and service for a bit more money!!
But MDG will finance anyone... so what does that tell you?

Dell is cheap is quite of an ignorant statement. It honestly depends for what puprose, company that I work for has Dell systems, including a dell server, and no hardware related problems at all, only place where their quality may have declined is in the notebook laptop sections. I've had 3 dell laptops myself no problems at all.
as for MDG take it for what it stands for Main Distributor of Garbage :) |

Petr. I think she meant that Dell is just as Cheap in price $$$ for btter quality??? |

i had one....very cheap parts in it...specs were good but it was the cheapest of the crop. i had freezing issues at first.
i ended up building my own computer after 6 or so months.
never had a problem with that.
go Dell instead of MDG. |

| Dell warrenty is kickass ... some chic here at work spinned a bottle of wine on her laptop the next day they came in and replaced pretty much everything. The only thing that remained the same was the outside shell and the screen. |
