Open soundforge with cd in. File / Extract audio from cd.

well if it's so ing lame copyright protection that it won't let you even play the CD in your computer, just get a "desk" CD player, connect it to your line-in and record from there...

there's always a way out...

and btw...it's the only way to get past any protection...

I've never had any kinds of problems ripping any CD's to disk, even when they have that kind of copy protection. Just hold down shift when closing the CD drive and the autorun won't start. Whee, you've now cracked the copy protection.

In some cases they actually insert a data track before the audio tracks, so Windows loads up the filesystem and isn't aware of the audio tracks at all, and you have to load up their crappy rootkit software to listen. It's not an autorun issue, it's just that when Windows finds a data track then it ignores everything else. I doubt that's the case here, sounds more like nubness, but there are still ways around it, such as a permanent marker or a piece of tape.

Be that as it may, I still haven't encountered a single CD that EAC couldn't rip for me.

My guess is that you don't buy many Sony/BMG CDs. :p
