Btw, does anyone here use discogs to enter their vinyl collection ?
Is it usefull ? Not usefull ?
What are the advantages of discogs ? |

i organize mine in genre
ie.
Disco House at the the front
then Electro House
Then Prog House
Then Techno
Then Prog Trance
Then Trance
Then Hard Dance/Hard Trance
thats for my record box which holds 90 records and it changes by what genre im playing ( i mostly play electro house so there is generall mostly those in there but i will usually take some of each yep of genre just in case)
just in the order you find easiest for you to find things with |

| I organize my vinyl alphabetically by artist. I also use discogs. I think it's kinda nice. That's my $.02. |

| Mine aren't organized at all - it's just 500 records in a huge, unorganized mess. Yet I know exactly where everything is. |

| Discogs looks great although I've not had the chance to enter all my collection yet. I organise all my music in alphabetical order by Artist. |

| i have them organised by genre but however you do it you always seem to know where every track is for some strange reason. |

| mine are organised by key. |

| Alphabetical by record label. The most easiest and straightforward, IMO. |

Everything is sorted into categories (one for EDM, one for non-EDM singles, one for 45s, and one for non-EDM albums), then alphabetical by artist name and title.
I don't use Discogs, but I do key all of my records into an Access database. It's really easy for me to see my whole collection at once using the DB... |
