Good joints for a 21stist

First, long time, not much TA (Though I'm sure you've all missed me :rolleyes: )
Anywho, decided now to pull my thumb out and get moving on planning my 21st. So I was after some suggestions of nice places close-ish to the city, preferably on the easter side (Around Hawthorn, Glenferrie, Toorak possibly as far south as St Kilda.
Some form of side room, upstairs room, or something like that would be nice, prefer not to have it mixed in with the general public, good music is key and not so loud as to have to yell in someones ear from 5cm away to have a conversation, or better yet, just open decks so we can put on whatever.
Decent bar prices are important, don't have my head up my ass expecting $2 pots and $3 basics, but just so long as they're not obscene. Venue good for between 50 and 100 people.
There'll only be speeches or that sort of thing over my dead body, so doesn't need to have any microphone facilities or projectors, nothing like that.
Basically, just a nice, loungey place with nice music and good drinks. |

not sure on that side of town..
all i can think of is "nevermind" which has a cool beer garden :)
otherwise i've been to a party held at "the order of melbourne" and this has a small function room with couches, also has a terrace which rocks on warm nights
its located on swanston st
are u looking for a barish kinda place or it doesnt matter... |

To be fair my actual 21st is.... , rather soon. But yeah, I'm a youngin'
Not specifically looking for a place with a sparse interior, it doesn't matter all that much. I'll be checking a lot of places out in the coming weeks, might grab some mates and see how many places we can get round in a night. But a good starting direction is all I'm really looking for.
Those two places sound interesting, I'll check them out for sure. |
