another nintendo failure.

Add-ons have never been successful. Sega 32X should be noted as well.

I've known about it since back when it was being talked about initially. I used to be a video game nerd so I think it was around when the Dreamcast was still under the code name Katana. In any case, I would have figured more of you N64 owners would have been questioning what that little cartridge slot on the bottom of your N64 was for. I just wasn't aware 64DD's were floating around on ebay. That would be pretty neat to have though none of the nine games that were made for it really seem to interest me in the slightest.

the 64dd was always available ... only in japan. it was never released in USA or EU

be careful if you bid for it... you might have compatiblity issues when you try to play with a us N64

also the games available for the 64DD will most likely be in all japanese text

At one point, it was said that the 64DD was required to play Ocarina of Time. Wouldnt that have been some bulll? I'm glad the big N ditched this whole idea.

Killer item for collectors. I think it allowed some extra levels for Ocarina of Time if I'm remembering correctly. I was excited about it at the time because I was on my Zelda: OoT kick and wanted more.
