I've been to Ibiza, m8 ;)
And I hope you get the opportunity to do this, but there's definitely no way I'd ever spend more than a few days there - especially in the Summer.
Not even to whore myself - It's only a couple steps above Miami for me.

I actually meant that question! You seem to think a lot of what a lot of people call really fun places are total so I was wondering what locations actually met your standards- Ease off on the defense there...

you said miami is on many occasions and just now that ibiza was only a couple steps up... saying somethings a couple of steps up from isn't exactly saying it's good.

Miami is - and in my opinion, Ibiza is loads of fun for a day or two, but then becomes just like any other cliche' "clubber' destination, the phoniness/shallowness shines through, and I'm ready to go home. For me, there isn't much there - for you, perhaps there is, and either way, my opinion shouldn't be of such consequence to you. If it really irritates you, don't bother responding.
As far as my favorite spots to vacation? We'll save that for either a "I'm trying to go work _______" or "We're going to ____!" thread, and let yours get back on topic. ;)
Edit: And I will say that I haven't been outside of the metropolitan areas on Ibiza for much time, so I'm sure you'll find some interesting stuff to do. I simply wouldn't want to be immersed in club culture for a Summer. |

You really didn't take any time to explore the Island did you. Shame really. There's a looot of natural beauty in Ibiza and a lot of really cool stuff to do that isn't just hitting up a super club. Some great restuarants, brilliant smaller pubs and clubs that aren't just superficial cesspools, but sure, some are - as with any destination...
In any case I'd rather spend a summer @ a beach island in the mediterranean than almost anywhere else, music and clubs aside

Fair enough, I personally would :) And plan on [immersing myself] for many summers/years/winters ahead. We'll have to see if it sticks.. |
