Who else likes Power Noise here?

If you don't know what Power Noise is, I bring you Detritus, Synapscape, Radium and, although it's not really Power Noise, Hellfish.

This is so much fun :p Does anyone know of similar artists and/or could recommend me a few tracks?

Hydarnes
The first one you posted isn't so bad, it actually has a recognizable tune, so it wouldn't really qualify in your "bedlam of noise" category (still pathetic though).

Without having to elaborate further, the other three you posted are just plain despicable --- I'm praying for a response similar to: "It's just a joke guys"...

But if you want more "Music" like that I know exactly where you can get some...

1. Go to your kitchen
2. Gather some pots and pans and a few spoons
3. Turn on the television static
4. Find some other random noises and/or vocals
....and you might get something similar to what you're looking for out of it. (You may even want to throw in some construction work noises or even a train going by for good measure)

Enjoy!
Inconspicuous
is that like when you turn on a lawnmower or something?

Hey, I forgot about that! lawnmowers would make a phenomenal asset to this genre!

No, mate, you're doing it wrong. You're trying too hard and making yourself look ignorant at the same time.

Next time, do not reply unless you've got something useful or funny to say ;)

Lira,

C'mon, there's no need for that kind of posture! You don't really expect people to take you seriously on this do you?

The only "trying too hard" would be the overwhelming desire to feel so "underground" that one is willing to start listening to absolute clattering nonsense for a [delusional] sense of higher musical attainment.
Demoted
Eh, I'm not really a fan. The first one sounded like decent industrial, the other three sounded like like glitchy hardstyle.

Well, there have been threads here in the past where power noise was taken just as seriously as drum'n'bass or house. Many oldskool ta's might remember Noisician (aka Acid Junkie), who was some kind of "noise missionary", telling people more about the genre.

Besides, all I said was that I thought it was fun and I wanted to know more about it, what could be wrong with that? :conf:

Hmmm. But do you really listen to that?

Yes, I do. I wish I had gone to DeciBELIO Festival, actually, where all these clips were recorded.

Wow is all I can say and I'll leave it at that. But to each his/her own. For me, I find it pretty tacky (probably because it's just noise),... almost like there was too much laziness to come up with something harmoniously beautiful or memorable.

That's because you're judging it by what it doesn't intend to be: it doesn't want to be "beautiful", "harmonious" or a "Ohrwurm" (i.e. that kind of music that you can't get out of your head). Power Noise is supposed to be excessively energetic: distorted, fast and, literally, a riot to dance.

edit: Hellfish, actually, just plays current Hardcore techno. If you didn't like hardcore back in the days, I suppose it won't sound better now.
