Dihydrogen Monoxide: Friend or Foe?

So anyone care to tell me about the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide? I've heard it's easily containable once identified. It's even sold in supermarkets and drug stores over the counter with very little regulation as to its proper use.

Used improperly, such as inhaling small quantites, could lead to instant death. But is used in manufacturing anything from paint to bread.

Are there any steps to take to stop it's use so that it won't kill anymore people?
Krypton
