I love it how employers are starting to look at applicants' mypaces and facebooks which has led to quite a few people not getting jobs.
I've just never liked the idea of having personal information and pictures of me for all the public to see because you never know who is going to look at it. I don't care even if you make your page "private" either, it's still stupid. |

You're right it is pretty stupid, but it also passes time. My boss saw my page and was like , "what ever, as long as there aren't nude pics on line of you who cares"
Face Book > My Space for sure. I have both but as soon as Face Book came out I kind of started to ignore My space more and more each day. If people are going to stalk me, they'll stalk me, they don't need the internet to do that.( I guess it just helps them along) |

Ya, same. I loved how it used to be college and University students only. When it went open to anyone, it sucked. |

In the case of college students using it facebook could prove to be useful in some ways. You can add what classes you're in so you could use it to form study groups or ask questions about classes and such. Then again, I'm sure it's used far more to tell people and post pictures of how drunk you got last weekend. |

Ya, a lot of people do post their courses up, which is a good idea! Yea, now that face book is just slowly turning into My Space it's just basically used the same.
It's proven that if you send someone mail via Face Book, they will get it quicker and more than likely before they check their actual mail, just like on TA and PMs. |
