There are service call centres that offer a specific product or trade which is teachable, transferable which trancends international barriers.
Not all call centres operate in this business model.
For inbound contact centres this may be more prevalent, the client in that case more or less wants you, for boutique call centres dealing in the outbound industry it is proven to be especially difficult to export, with the kind of excellence that it requires to simply pack up the business model and ship it elsewhere has been proven time and time again to be ineffective.
This thread is misleading and misrepresented by the "starter". |

Air Canada's largest call centre is in INDIA. They layed off Canadian workers in Canadian cities and hired Indians in India because they were paid much less than Canadians.
I agree that the airline had to make some juggling around to restructure to save their company, but what they did with the call centre was absolutely disgusting! |
