New Track, Different Sounds - Karvan & Condivi

Hello everyone it has been a while since we completed(nearly) a track. We have upgraded to pro-end monitors. Still trying to learn them but hopefully you can hear an improvement in production when compared to our earlier tracks. Its been slightly rushed to get it ready in time for our set this saturday at the ANOT Summer Festival, Sydney.
Track itself was inspired after seeing Hybrid play live early this year. Not sure what genre it fits in maybe trance with electro-breaks.

Quick review:
8/10, solid mixing, tight percussion and bass, nice glitchy feel, ending needs energy, could use a few more background sounds to widen the soundspace a bit.
This is a really good beat-tune. It sounds a lot like something you'd hear in an action movie during a "preparation" sequence or somesuch. You know, when they're gathering supplies for the big assault on the Corporation's headquarters building in Tokyo.
The drums are really finely tuned and sound really tight. I like how they're really well mixed and VARY. From bar to bar one doesn't know what to expect with the drumline and that's really neat.
The bass is suitable, although I'd have fattened it personally. This song lends itself well to the techy "bass-when-the-kick" approach you've taken. Did you sequence the kick and bass together? I would be interested in seeing a bit of the process behind the making of the bass track. It's something I've struggled with in the past. I really like how you've done it.
I love the bleepy-buildup thing at 3:40-3:50...sounds really tight - a little "squealy" and uncomfortable but still good. The orchestral thing you've got going on afterward is a little weak and deserves to be a bit more powerful, especially since you've got a great glitchy feel to the rest of the track and the bottom end is really well done. It almost reminded me of a Rob Dougan-esque track near the end. I felt it could have used a bit more punch there with a wider range of orch/saw synths maybe to ensure that everyone knows that this is your climax, maybe give a bit more energy to the end!
Also, see if you can't encode it in a different format as well - if not MP3 then try .ogg or something so that people without Windows can use your song without too much codec-sniffing :( :( (minor, minor gripe.)

Thank you very much for the review.
Your indeed very right in regards to your criticism especially with the end orhestral drop. We have had so much trouble trying to fit it in especially when we are pretty much out of CPU(Ableton is such CPU whore). I guess we will have to leave for a bit as we have lost perspective.
In regards to bass, yeah it actually was fatter but it then started booming to much. With your question about the bass, first of all it is VST. Second used new york compression technique that is eqed it initally then slapped a compressor then equed it slightly after. Then sends of the bass was partially sent to Reverb and a delay. Basically everything in this composition is partly sent to a common FX channel containing a Reverb(this is eqed accordindly as well). We found by doing this it made the whole track more crisp and just gave heaps of movement. BTW not sure what you meant by sequencing bass & kick together.
