Iniesta's goal was class, only something like that can erase my image of Morientes missing that sitter. :( |

Yeah, he has inconsistent days, but he also plays for really crappy team. (Also liking Cristian on Deportivo) Both are pretty young so still got time to develop.

Scolari turned down the England job. On hind sight, O'Neil probably won't be doing better than McClaren is right now.
Personally, I wouldn't want to be England manager. Too much expectation all the time, plus the fact that players don't seem to want to play hard for country.
I'll say this again. Big Sam Allardyce is the perfect man. Fierce disciplinarian willing to crack the whip to get players to play the way he wants.
Though on national team environment, hard to instill the kind of work ethic a manager can do in a club environment. |

I agree about Portugal. The sooner that swan diving Ronaldo leaves the EPL the better.
Scolari was definitely interested in the England job but the FA pissed it away, plus the British media are terrible. You're right about the pressure though; it definitely is a factor. But it can't always be used as an excuse. There is far too much talent available right now for England to be playing like this, but I don't see things improving much. |

Moro has a better strike ratio than Raul with the NT, he doesn't choke often... his problem is never getting picked :(.
Arizmendi and Critian are both mediocre for me, that whole Depor team is in such a hole right now although I should say lately they have been showing life. Irrureta made that team when playing it's best, one of the best sides in Europe, with one of the best styles of soccer you could watch. Valeron IMO was one of the most under rated players in the game, even Zidane said many times that he's the one guy that on his day is without a doubt the best player in the league. Those days seem gone, but Lendoiro isn't a stupid guy, he has lots of money in the bank. When the team goes down and he doesn't spend then the real pressure will begin. I've been to the Riazor many times, I suggest it for anyone. Who can resist a 30,000 seater like that beside the beach?:crazy: |
