Turntablism in trance

This is probably a question for the more experienced DJs but anyone can weight in of course:
I was wondering wether or not there could ever be a situation where incorporating turntablism techniques(scratching, beat juggling, etc.) would be helpful?

Thank for your time,
Dave

There sure can. You can try the odd spin back, power down, scratching in the break down. A nice trick you can try is doubling up the breakdowns...Be creative! Go with what you can do and what sounds good. :) I can up some samples if you'd like.

Yeah... tiesto did an amazing spinback at dutch dimension.

Max Graham can scratch alright too

sometimes he puts a second record down, puts the needle on(with out it spinning) and taps the beat on the record

What is "doubling up breakdowns"?
Spin Doctor
Ok then. I’ll record some and upload today. I’ll post when I’ve done them. I’ll use only trance tunes, though some of it is more suited to harder stuff. Oh and D-Syde, I’ll do one where I double up the breakdown so you know what that is. :)

Thats what I spin. Cant wait to hear them.

Ive heard of double build ups..when you have 2 of the same record and when one goes into the breakdown and starts building up...and building up...and when its just about to break, you switch it to the other deck that has the same record but its brought in right at the breakdown or better yet right at the begining of the build up again. This is a really cool trick that sends the crowds crazy...especially when its a song they recognize. They are totally expecting it to break and for them to go crazy, but you start the build up all over again.
