Is Webster Hall really that bad? I'd really like to see Scot but all these comments about WH are making me second-guess.

there was a time (well over a decade ago) when webster hall was the shiznit; the lines were long and the drag queen at the door ruled with an iron fist. today, it hangs on as glorified carnival ride, its potential untapped and its crowds as unattractive as the gallery events baird jones brings to bear.

still, faithless will be in there april 25 which ain't too shabby =)

I've been listening to some his recent sets and I have to say he's really changed his style. He's playing more uplifting driving trance than hardstyle. As much as I like his sets I still would never go back to Webster Hall after what I endured at Yahel NYE.

If you don't mind....what did you endure at WH???? Although i seriously hate that place, i would consider going to lawrence. If your more recent experience at WH can help me decide whether to actually step foot in that place i would be most appreciative.

Despite my disliking for WH, I went to Yahel NYE with 6 friends, hoping to emulate the sick night we had @ Crobar back in July. The crowd was wack and there was NO VIBE. We were on the 2nd floor and there was absolutely no bass. The drinks were weak. We wound up leaving after an hour and half and going to Sulli.

that's exactly what i thought you were going to write. That place hasn't had a vibe since 2000.

I like the lawrence/halliwell night, but im struggling whether i want to actually step foot in WH, or take the trip to toronto for a guaranteed good time with Markus and AvB at KH.

The only thing is that im not sure if the place will actually recapture a vibe with some of the nice DJs they're bring in. I guess i'll wait and see.
