The only positive thing was hearing PVD and meeting some tranceaddicts !

The worth thing was hearing the beat of deep dish after PVD. If the organiser knew what s the difference between Trance and House they should have switched the dj times !

im shocked by your reviews..i went totally sober, no e, no speed ..not even ephedrine and i left at 6:30 because i had to work at noon...if not i would have stayed til 10 minimum...it was a great party and i applaud jf and the aria crew for doing an above average job. It didnt have the lighting of a molson centre 514 party but it was still pretty cool. I was a bit dissapointed at the dj placement...way to low!!!!. I thought the sound was fine in the main room. Not too loud and not distorted. I saw peeps getting arrested while i was walking in. No big surprise there. Didnt see any ODs but whoever did OD, probably deserves exceeding their human toxicity limits because 1 or 2 Es doesnt cause an OD. I'm still thinking of the women...uninreal. I met about 3-4 girls and i partied the last hour i was there with most some of them...and i'm so mad i didnt stay....

bal en blanc was a good party...nuff said
mastercongo

This was a great party overall.. but i think pvd should have had a longer set. The night started off well i got there around midnight or so and i think bob sinclair was on. The set was alright a bit too housey for me lol... I came down with Mr. Mo and some of my other friends from ottawa. I saw mazen DJHAPPY, Marc and a bunch of other Ta's. PVD came on and for 2 and a half hours he totally hit it up.. here is a list of tracks from what i can remember that night:

ralphie b - massive
goldenscan - sunrise (tiesto mix)
tony h - zoo future (dumonde mix)
members of mayday - sonic empire
space brothers - everywhere i go (pvd mix)
katana - gemini
funk einsatz - punk
blank and jones - cream (pvd mix)
pvd - for an angel
4 strings - into the night

This is in no particular order but thats all i can rememember please help me get this list up to date... it was an amazing party again..
shout out to mr mo for requesting for an angel.. that track ing kickz.. also to my other buddies it was a great night!

I came up from Toronto for this event and had high expectations for something selling at $75 a head. I went to BeB with 5 other friends that I've been to a number of events with and was glad that they were all there. Too bad a few others couldn't make it.

I made it to Olympic Stadium a little after 1am and was surprised to see practically no line up for ticket holders. There was a lineup for guestlist which took almost a half hour to get through. I know that because I made the mistake of trying to pickup some free tickets from a cousin that was supposed to be on the guestlist but wasn't. After that wasted time we all went through coat check, security and ticket pull without a problem.

First good thing to see was the massive number of people attending this event. I'm not sure how many but it must have been over 10000. First bad thing to see was that it wasn't on the mainfield. Also the area that it was in was split into two halves. I guess that was just another promoter mistake that was said to help out ticket sales. It was nice to see that they were promoting safe drug use, had booths seelling a variety of things and a massage area.

I caught about 1.5 hours of Bob Sinclar's set and was definitely pleased. It contained a bunch of familiar tracks including Green Velvet's - La La Land. It was pumping me up for PVD and seemed to have most of the crowd moving. Though the crowd in my opinion wasn't very appealing. There were some ladies there which were almost all good looking, but there was too many gay guys dressed in underwear doing gay looking things all over the place. I'm not homophobic and respect gay pride, but this was too much for me to handle. Now you could tell me don't look and just listen to the music but when this is going on inches from your face and the bodies are rubbing up against you, then it's totally unavoidable. At other parties I don't even see that many hetero people doing the things they were doin' out there.

Anyway... after I had a little dose of happiness I was able to concentrate on the music and ignore what was goin' on around me. PVD came on in fire and had me moving hard. His 2.5 hour set went by too fast but still managed to steal all my energy. Of his own stuff he played a bunch of tracks from the Politics of Dancing album (Don't know which ones exactly) and For an Angel to close. I also remember a few other familiar tracks but can only id Ferry Corsten - Punk. From the response of the crowd when he stepped off the decks, I'd say it was a great set.

Deep Dish did more of a progressive set with some hard pounding beats but I was too tired to dance to most of it. During that time I went to get a hot oil massage and loved every second of it. It felt amazing and got me ready to head back out to the floor. Deep Dish kept the crowd moving and overall was what I expected, but I prefered the Trance set that PVD spun. I stayed till about 10am that morning and left completely exhausted.

Overall it was a great party. Not the best, but one that I won't forget. Some other things about BeB worth mentioning... Water fountains were available to refill bottles, decent lighting but no lasers, average sound, average decoration (expected more for the $$$), horrible washroom setup, bad setup having the room in two halves, & a bit too stuffy (hard to breathe up front). I'd give it a 7/10. Most of that because of PVD, my friends, and that wicked massage. ;)

not a bad party, ive been to better ones for cheaper money.
I came a long way for this party, paid fr VIP--and didnt get a bracelet. Poor location, horrible bathroom situaion, bad sound-too much-not enough highs. Ive sen Pvd before, and this was a waste of one of his sets. He played pretty much everything expected i didnt reallyhear anything new---1 track id lie to add to the list was *NU NRG-DREAMLAND* which was one of the tracks i was hoping to hear. The only good thing about the dj setup is i got to be like 3 feet from the master the whole time (which seemed like his set was more like 1 hour) If Deep Dish had gone on before PvD--this party would bee much much better. Deep Dish tore things up and stole the show in my opinion
but i was to tired to dance, and aggravated with all the disturbing things that were going on around me (you now what im talking about).
The beautiful women made the whole night mmm mmm mmm =)

All in all a decent time, but ill most likely never attend Bal en Blanc again.

Well, I had an amazing time. All the peeps were gorgeous. Even though there were a lot of gays, I tried to stay away from the centre of the sweat pit where all the freaky is going on. I really like Bob Sinclair's set, personally I think he should have played at the end and deep Dish before PvD. Deep Dish just slowed down the music way too much. PvD's set was a little bit different than what I am used to from him but it might have also been the typical Montreal sound system where all you hear is base. I love meeting DJHappy at parties, he always has something cool on him, even if its just a sucker. Did not see any overdoses but one big girl was for sure ed up on G and this little guy was trying to hold her up while another guy was trying to get her even more ed up. Why would anyone want to be half unconscious at a party is beyond me. One track I remember was "Street Knowledge" and I don't know who it is by but I do remeber it from PvD's Ministry of Sound set from a few years back (his very best in my opinion.
I left at like 9 because my friend was feeling sick and we had to drive back to Ottawa that day. I had lost my boyfriend's shirt so I went back to see if I could find it and my other friend's went ahead to the car. Well, I spent 45 min. roaming the parking lot because I had no idea where we were parked until I realized that there were actual levels in the parking lot, that was not fun at all.
