hi i was wondering what some tips were on vinyl storage im pretty fanatical about my vinyls i used to store them ontop of each other in this pretty big draw but someone said that ruins the grooves so there uprigth and against the wall now and alot of them dont have inner sleeves i was just wondering if theres a big differance if they have em or not? should i go out and buy some? will they get worn out alot quicker? and because there against the wall now (relitivily flat) would the ones at the back (on a slight angle) maybe bend and ruin the grooves or some i dunno im just really fanatical about em whats the best way to store em!? someone anyone help me im freaking out :( they cost too much to just leave lying around :P should i invest in a record box or 2? |

stacking them may warp the record... oh and when you put it upright.. make sure none is tilted b/c that will also warp the record.... use like a book holder/divider to make sure. |

actually i heard stacking them on top will flatten/mash the grooves.
i've been using this milk crate to hold my records. i have to slant a bit though cuz it doesn't fit right. i need to find that thing like G K Murray's. those look good. :) |

yah but if yuour in the states I bet they rape you. I buy record boxes or bags. They are a little exp but if your in love w/ ur records theyre worth it. then pack the boxes just tight enough so they are up right, but you can dig your fingers in to see which record is what. too tight and u'll never find ur record
