Can I ask what you learned from Anna Nicole Smith's life? Or her death? |
I learned that there are people are insensitive to suicide attempts of others...
...until it happens to somebody you know. I speak from experience. |

Im not mad at her, and im not mad at the people who read the magazines (well i think they are a little stupid). Who i am mad at, is the people who make money from makeing actors and singers into something that is just retarded. STARS??? wtf comon, just because someone is a good actor doesnt mean that we have to know everything about thier life.. WHO CARES, they show them like they are roll model citizens that everyone must worship and follow... but they are no different then us. They might be rich and talented which is a good thing... but they are all far from perfect, So stop telling us about thier life. I know i wont be able to leave my house today without hearing about Smith...
And i will respect her
RIP!
but i wont respect the countless magazines that will comeout this weekend! |
I agree with you on the celebrity magazines being ridiculous front but its not the marketers who are to blame, its the people who read them. Marketers are looking for ways to make a quick buck and if they make celebrities look godlike and people buy it then its not their problem.
As far as making a big deal out of Anna Nicole's life goes, she bought entertainment to people, whether it was negative regarding her so called gold digging incentives behind marriage or having people jerk of to her playboy spreads.
There are millions of people fighting wars, dying of poverty etc. but to us they are nothing more than a group of so many people making the news and we don't even remember the face of one whereas here we have an individual who made the tabloids on a regular basis. Face it, the media influences people more than any other entity. |

Anna Nicole Smith was a drug-addicted, alcoholic stripper with no talent. Not to mention a terrible role-model for young girls.
The only thing I feel bad about is that the 'celebrity lifestyle' that killed her is a result of the idiots who obsess about knowing every little detail of this persons life. Being constantly judged by others led to stress and drug abuse and ultimately her premature death. I can't stand this ing industry. |

I tend to agree...but it's our character that determines how we choose to cope with pressure/stress/being judged, not the stress itself. There's a copout for everything, isn't there? |
