Hi everybody!
Wanna share with you everybody strange thing I noticed. It's about the voting process on Global DJ Broadcast show with Markus Schulz that takes place @ http://www.markusschulz.nu//index.p...id=63&Itemid=86
Last week vote was cheated by my opinion/ Why? Here's the facts:
Poll closes up on Wednesday. So Tuesday afternoon when I checked it last time two leaders were:
Santerna & Shifted Reality - Innerlight - around 550 votes
and Algarve vs Cold Blue - Sakura 410+ votes
Don't remember exact numbers, but what's important - the difference was 130 votes to Santerna and Shifted Reality side. That's for sure, cause I was watching the dinamics since the voting started and Algarve vs Cold Blue had a fast start and were leading @ the beginning, but ran out of gas closer to the end, so last two days the gap between those 2 was just growing. The question is:
- How come Algarve vs Cold Blue - Sakura managed to become tune of the last week?
- What was the final score?
It seems really "magic" to see Algarve vs Cold Blue fans to start activly voting in last 5-6 hours before the deadline. So I would like to hear some explanation from the folks who runs the voting for Markus. And discussion from everyone else is welcome as well.
Thank you. |

| Well, I noticed it the second time. First one was couple months ago and that time I haven't watched it closely, so wasn't sure. The point is: if they choosing the winner themselves, so whats the point in all vote thing? Will you watch the football, knowing that one team bribed the refery and are planned to win? |

Hello,
Here the official explanation from the ones who are running the poll.
First of all, Global DJ Broadcast is aired from almost 30 radio stations worldwide on different times. This explains why the amount of voters changes every day, sometimes more votes on a day, somethimes less.
The other thing that we noticed this week was that people were abusing the poll. We had far more votes at several days then we had visitors on the site. We noticed that at least two people were spamming the poll, about 200 votes in 3 hours for the same track is just impossible. People were asked to vote for the following tracks at different forums: Shaun Dark - Albino and Santerna & Shifted Reality - Innerlight
Because of this we closed the poll a bit earlier to prevent even more abuse. Algarve vs. Cold Blue - Sakura was the track with most votes from the start without spamming and abuse and therefore the winner.
We are now looking in a way to prevent this abuse in the future. All previous polls were not manupilated in any way by abuse or spam. Every poll is monitored closely by our team to prevent any unfair voting.
