Has anyone seen Hernan Cattaneo spin live recently?

Cattaneo is probabbly a very skilled DJ, I used to like his stuff back when Progressive was big. I'll be in NYC and he'll be spinning at Crobar, I'd like to visit Crobar but I havent heard good comments about Cattaneo's recent sets.

I've heard he still play Progressive but very flat lined, boring, Progressive, not pumping. Almost wants to make you want to sleep.

Does anyone have any opinions on this. Personally I like pumping Progressive... deep and dark

Crobar is scheduled to turn into Studio Mezmor on 2/17 and I havent heard anything about him comin to the nyc...however, i did catch his last set there back in Sept and he was great imo...started off a bit minimal, transitioned into some deeper, dark tracks and finished off with some bangin peak hour prog..solid stuff

Yeah I think it's under Studio Mezmor... I saw it in these website...

The second one says Crobar still though...

Does the Metro system work all night in NY?

Hernan has never disappointed me and I've seen him more than I've seen any other DJ.

What type of music did you guys see him play?

I just downloaded a recent set of his, 2007, and he plays a lot of Tribal-Prog... he has some great Prog ch00ns but I really dont digg Tribal... I'm more of a "banging peak hour prog ch00ns" guy :disbelief

The past few times I've seen him, he's been super dope and played awesome prog . In anycase, you want to go to Crobar, you used to like Hernan, and, if this is like any other show on a Friday at Crobar (including every time I've seen Hernan there), it will be FREE before midnight. So really, you can't lose. Just make sure you check the NY forum as it comes closer so you can get on one of the free guest lists.

Yeah sounds like a good deal...

Why is Crobar turning into Studio Mezmor? Are they the same owners?

Nope, I think they sold it. Very quietly, actually, since I had no idea it was being sold until 2 weeks ago. They're renovating it now, with new changes being made every week with the Grand Re-Opening on Feb 17th. I doubt it looks much different than Crobar did though...
