holy cripes.. yes it's that bad
i understand that it's a new product, but why push it out when it's ing buggy as hell?
the minimum it should do is provide basic OS stability which it doesn't
- usb external drives don't read
- glitchy gui
- incompatible programs
holy , this is a POS OS |

| ME = Multiple errors and was an utter POS. I guess I'll hold off on Vista for some time? |

| We shouldn't upgrade to Vista until all the driver issues are worked out. I read people are having issues running games on it. Like the games running slow or something. |

You kidding?
I had ME and it is by far the worst version of Windows to date. And that's late into its life. I'm sure they'll fix up Vista with Fiji.
And then Vienna in 2009 will hopefully be another step in the right direction. |

| Yeah this worries me because ME was a complete and total piece of crap. I got to where I could reinstall it in my sleep though, since I had to do it every 3 weeks or so. |

The best for me has been Windows2000. Never had any problems with it and has been running rock solid on a 400Mhz 128MB RAM system for 6 years with an uptime of sometimes 8 weeks. Abusing the living hell out of it. In all these years I've only seen the BSOD once.

Don't spew such nosense, while buggy it runs quite well. Not to mention I haven't had any losses in performance in any of the games I play. Company of heros, Vanguard, EQ2, etc.' |

a couple of things
1. nero
installing this application completely shut down my OS to the point i had to do a restore which took a couple of hours. even previous iterations of windows allowed generous use of older windows applications
2. msn messenger
i tried installing msn messenger and it won't even let me load it. this was very surprising, ... a micrsosoft app won't even work in Vista!!!!
.....
windowsME was notorious for it's memory leaks, and was the crappiest windows product ever released. i was expecting alot from vista, but wasn't prepared for such an unpolished product. |

| That's what you get for using a new Windows OS without waiting for SP 1. Nub. |
