If you make music, you should only be performing your own productions...

Or maybe I just have a broad taste in music? No, that can't possibly be it... |
yep - pls accept my apologies.
I just neively thought someone would only make tunes that would work in they're sets so when you go dj'ing your promoting your mixing skills and your production at the same time......... |

| I do it sometimes but not always...I get so tired after hearing a track 500 times while Im making it. I cant muster the strength to hear it out 1 more time:eyespop: |

| I used to spin but I put it aside since I spend so much time producing. Several of the DJs here in Colorado play my tracks. Honestly, I'd rather have other people play my stuff. 10 DJs will usually play for more people that 1 will. |

| I dont tend to play my own stuff as I rarely DJ dance gigs because R n B is big in Ireland. The dance scene is very limited here at the moment and gigs are fairly hard to come by if your not in Dublin every weekend...one reason i dont play my own stuff is its so noticeable, the lack of the professional polish once played alongside top quality tunes... |

| This is the reason I became a DJ. |

I know the feeling. Even as a dj, once I put a track on a cd mix, I often don't play out the track for a long time. But hearing your own music on a HUGE system and seeing people dancing to your work is truly a great feeling. |

| yea man i always put in my own tracks! wh0ring around, need some credibility lol. it's nice to show off your production skills and add your personal touch to your own sets, and at the same time getting some feedback on the tracks you play. helps you develop |

I like to put a couple of my own productions/remixes into my sets - it makes it a more unique one then - plus people have never heard it,if its come straight off your Harddrive :D
It was only since last autumn that i could feel comfortable putting my own stuff in because my production quality has improved - about a year ago you could really tell the difference! :toothless |
