Ok so I got a go-train ticket
$110
for those of you who take the train, i forgot to POP my ticket and i got booked for it, what an no warning
so anyways, i decide i want to take it to court because $110 is 2 much out of my pocket for someone who usually pays
as i finish the paperwork the guy says to me:
"Ok, you will receive a court-date in the mail within 6-8 months"
and i was just like:
 okkkk noproblem
i dont see how this go-train worker in 6-8 months will come to court 2 make sure i pay $110, but i dont want to jynx it
anyone else experience this? |

was this your first offence? if so you shouldn't have gotten a fine...
usually they give you a warning your first time...i take the go train every day and a couple of years ago i forgot to punch my ticket and i just got a warning...they log your info so if they catch you again they bust you for the fine...if this was your first time then fight it on the argument that most other people get a warning |

yeah..if its your first, and you you show that you normally POP your ticket, then they should give you a warning...
People make mistakes and forget sometimes..and the loyal honest customers shouldn't be punished.
I'd fight it. Do you have a record of all your receipts or stuff like that that shows that you always purchase your tickets and stuff like that? |

yea this is my first offense
i forgot another time and got a warning, but they didn't log any of my information down the first time, they just said
"u have to remember to pop it"
i have all my tickets i dont have the receipts tho, but all of the tickets are signed to my name
my argument is im a paying customer on a regular basis i shuldnt be punished |
