if you have the time to write out a thread for your event, then you have TEN SECONDS it takes to scan the main page and page 2 for any reposts. i'm not gonna crap on the repost thread, but i do think they are annoying, redundant spam that pushes other more meaningful threads off the main page. and if you've ever thought ta was running slow at times, those repost threads certainly don't make this site run any faster... and from the promoter's point of view, consolidating all the posts for one event in one thread actually makes your event look better than splitting them amongst 2 or 3 separate threads. that's my 2 cents.
