Simple problem and I am looking for tips/suggestions
Lately I have begun recording vocals for my tracks, what I do is I mute my speakers pop some headphones on my ear... listen to the track through the headphones and sing into the mic going along with the beat...
The only problem is, I can hear the beat actually bleeding through my headphones and recording into the mic. I have brand new sony mdr-7506's and they are well insulated, any tips on how vocal recording should be done? I'm thinking there may be a more efficient way to approach this
thanks for any suggestions! |

| Most often it's the high frequencies that bleed through. Try putting a temporary lowpass filter or EQ on some elements of the track or maybe mute the highhats. And obviously you can just lower the volume of your mix. |
