i love listening to new peoples tracks because i know how much time they spend on each track ;)

intro can be louder, normalize i or somtin.

if you oscillated that sound, great job! =) nice synths, put some more reverb on it to make it huuge.

good kick.

crash can be smoother, hihats wider and EQ it some.

add more elements before the main stuff kicks in :) and it will sound nice.

nice gated synth, also add reverb to make it sound biig, compress it a lil so it sounds almost more stabbing... :)

keep workin on this and you'll have a bomb tune!

maybe in the meantime you can check out my latest also: "Nico Heins - love Affaire"

Cheers!

Hey,

I thought there is no sound coming but now the little 303 type synth comes in. Ah yes, great stuff!

+ I LOVE that beginning. The dark strings together with the 303s are sweet.
+ gated synth, very trippy. me likes.
+ I think the overall mix is solid and clean.

- the bassline is a little simple.
- also could need some more FX.
- the rythm is pretty standard and VERY repetitive, could use another percussive element to increase the drive. It needs more drive, and more alternation.

So this is pretty much what I think you need to change first. Most important is the percussion. Go and try to add closed hihat, shaker, rimshot, stuff like that.

Though I have to say I really like your style of trance, very oldschool and trippy. Keep it up!

Thanks for the quick reply both,

It was only put together quickly over the weekend, so I was just trying to get a rough idea if I was going in the right direction.

No mastering yet, hence the reason for the lower than normal volume.

Also, Spliph, I cannot find your track anywhere. Can you give me a link to follow?

I will get on and work on this tune now. :)

Thanks.

yeh i love the acid and beginning of the track
everything's quite nicely eq'd, and ure using very soft and safe tones.
you could probably use some more reverb, and mixing up some more style within your track. other than that, more practice and ull be making some real floor filling tracks in no time. quite a nice melodic listening, even tho im so into hard trance :P

its probably a bit long, and repetitive. if u mixed in some more synths and maybe a little more percussion work it'd b cool. there's quite a few melodies that breeze through my head that could work as a great lead for this song. if u ever decide to take it to that step tho, probably when u get more experience making your mix.

nicely made track none the less.

Hey AniG,

Thanks for the reply.

It is good that people on this forum offer some constructive critisism, and also some potential improvements.

Thanks for your time.

Hi,

There is now a new version of this track available to listen to.

I have tried to incorporate some of the suggestions above, and hope I have improved the track a little now.

Can people please take a listen, and let me know your views?
