I agree that NYTA has some great talent but that has nothing to do with zabs. (thanks for the positivity tho). Plus I know that MOST people who are really sick, the last place they wanna be is in a loud ass club, especially if they cant just sit and relax. I am totally non functional when I am sick. Lay off the guy, he has obviously impressed you before, and not every DJ will be on top of his game 100% of the time. Just like anyother job.
I wasn't there, so I have no opinion on how good/bad he might be, but he has had amazing reviews from recent past. |
Ive been listening to JZ since he went on tour with Sasha to support his album. And whole he has gained a larger audience I also believe his track selection isn't what it used to be. I remember hearing much more tech house and acid house in his sets. Now hes just playing for the most part the flavor of the moment. Maybe thats becasuse hes playing the main floor. But I miss the days when i heard 20/20 vision records, alongside those really agressive breaks like "Red Star".
To sum it up, loose the flavor and go back to tech house ;)

| You know you can never win everybody over. No DJ is ever going to please EVERYBODY. There will always be somebody bitching about the track selection, the mixing, nit picking about how a DJ used to be, and so on. What the ever happened to just going out, hearing some good tunes, hanging out with your friends, dancing your ass off, and just having a good time enjoying life??? I'm so sick of all the negativity that surrounds this scene as of lately. Get the sticks out of your asses, down some beers and have a good time. It's much more stress free than thinking about every little thing to bitch about.:toothless |

there hasn't been a "scene" since 2001. And those that do try and promote good parties dont have the funding or the draw power. These days its all about who is promoting and who is djing. |

True, but at $40-50 a pop for admission, one can only want to critique the event. :p :toothless |

The only events at cost that much are PVD, Armin, Tiesto, JP, Oakey, and DT (maybe a few more.) |
