So glad someone posted this event in the event listings, as a huge fan of stylistic dancing, origionality, choreography and just raw talent this event was unreal, and everything i was hoping it would be.
Got there late, around 9:45, So glad there was parking directly across the street lol. And stepped in to find the place packed with dancers and spectators alike.
First off was the showcase, this is where the teams show off to the judges a 'showcase' (for lack there of a better term) the style of their team in unity. not primarily a inidividual presentation of skill, rather an attempt to involve everyone in the crew all at once.
Then the battles started, and holllie fark it got intense! I always knew canada had alot of style, and lacked on the power, but it was so real to watch these guys live throwing out these kinds of moves. its one thing to watch this stuff on a computer screen, or a tv. but to see these guys manipulate their body, and throw themselves around, 10 ft from you. it amplifies the surealness 10x
Toronto vs. Montreal was the last battle, and it was crazy, but Toronto will be heading to Korea.
highlights for me was meeting Dizzy, one of Canadas premere breakers and lazy legs from montreal.
i hope i can find some pictures, and videos to post, words really dont cut it for partys like this. |

supernaturalz used to battle Qkids when i was dancing with them back in uni...dizzy is just plain ILL....he is skilled as hell u don't wanna take ur eyes off him ...i'll see if i can get some videos too and post later!!! |
