| quote: | | A July 2005 estimate of the total Iraqi population is 26,074,906(*). |

| quote: | | We estimate that between March 18, 2003, and June, 2006, an additional 654,965 (392,979–942,636) Iraqis have died above what would have been expected on the basis of the pre-invasion crude mortality rate as a consequence of the coalition invasion. Of these deaths, we estimate that 601,027 (426,369–793,663) were due to violence." |

| quote: | | Forty-five per cent of Iraqis believe attacks against British and American troops are justified |
http://www.commondreams.org/headlines05/1023-01.htm
601,027/2.75 = 218,555/year
26,074,906*.45 = 11,733,707
11.733,707/218,555 = 53-54 years**.
(*)Assuming death tolls cancel out population growth.
(**)That's assuming they will fight till the bitter end.
Problem solved right? |

| Hopefully the 45% that think attacks on coalition troops are justified are the same ones who keep blowing each other up. That 45% could wipe themselves out in as little as 23 years at today's casualty rate. |
