Is there anyway to merge the memory cards, so that, for example, the cue point you set on one card can be transferred to the other and vice versa.
Sort of like a replication?

| im pretty sure the CDJ-1000mk3 has the memory card duplicate option. Other than that I dont think it's possible unless someone emulated a CDJ-1000mk3 on thier PC and used a card reader to duplicate, as the CDJ-1000 formats every SD card. |

| yes there is. the cdj can do it for you. it tells you how in the manual. as long as its a cdj 1000 mk-anything. |

| Just a thought, aren't they MMC cards like in phones & digi cameras? Is it possible to plug them into a standard MMC reader then transfer the info to a PC then onto another card. Dunno how the info would look on a PC or how you would know which files are the ones you want to "merge". Might be worth a try :conf: |

I looked into this when I first got my CDJ's - but didn't know what the hell I was looking at, so forgot about it. I think the problem with just copying them onto each other is that the file names of the databases are the same, so it's not a drag and drop kinda thing.
A quick search on Google gives this though:
http://www.paralleldimension.nl/cdj1000.html -
Software that does it for you - It's 20 Euros, so you have to decide if you want to fork out for it, but it might work well enough to warrant that cost.
I'm interested in the "Max waveform Data" part - I hope that means that for low level tracks, you can boost the height of the waveform to make it easier to read the differences in the track.
And being able to back it all up on your hard-disk would be useful too I guess.
I might look into it - 20 Euros is about £16, isn't it? I'll download the demo - see how it works, and if it looks like it's value for money, I'll get it and let you know if it's any cop or not. |

Yeah - that looks good.
I didn't use the term MERGE, I used the term SYNCHRONIZE!
