Tiësto mix? You must have a mislabeled mp3 as to my knowledge he has never remixed the track. There's Magik Muzik Remix but Tiësto has nothing to do with it.

Um it's not really trance but it's a track called "Mercy Follows" by this producer named Ryan Farish. I like some of his tracks, esp on his first album (although some are WAY too sappy/new agey, esp on his second album, they remind me of Yanni). The melody on that one is nice, but the percussion and bassline is totally out of sync and should be much faster than it is. It's like it's screaming to be a dance track, but the guy couldn't decide if he wanted it to be some really relaxing track or one you can dance to. It's like maybe 115 BPM or so (dunno for sure) but it should be at least 125. The guy kind of follows Robert Mile's formula on his early music (pianos and dance beats basically) but he can't really make good percussion. Think he should stick to just playing the piano, cause he knows melody. He's worse than most amateur trance producers at creating beats/percussion. Some of his music is pretty cringe worthy...

nah no mp3 for me, i have it on incentive 12".
it says on the sleave magik musik mix with "big thankyou to tiesto" always assumed tiestos alter ego was magik musik seing as its one of his labels hes involved with as far as i know. appologies if wrong cos im not too savvy with all things tiesto cos hes not really my cup of tea apart from that track which apparently isnt him and his track suburban train. so appologies where due:)

Alrighty. Fair enough. :)

Magik Muzik isn't an alias of Tiësto but of Geert Huinink & Alco Lammers aka Dawnseekers/Photon Project/.. Huinink has been involved with several Tiësto tracks over the years though.

As for the thread subject.. i used to pitch up alot of the tracks i played to get to feel the energy better but that was about a decade ago.... nowadays i tend to pitch more tracks down than up as the energy isn't what i'm after in music anymore. :stongue:

I guess one track i tend to pitch up every single time i use it somewhere, is Infusion - Legacy (Junkie XL Mix). It's too slow to fit in about anywhere as it is.

Sonny Dare - The Escape <------ killer track btw;)

I think pretty much every track mentioned so far is too fast. I like them at 125-130. Brings out the rhythm.
