Im working on a track right now and I'm stuck on the build up. How do you get an effect that is set on a lead or bass like for example a flanger or phaser to increase little by little so it can suit the buildup? |

you could possibly use automation?
right click on any parameter(assuming u are using the FL chorus, or the amount knob in the mixer) and then >edit events, then draw your in.
there are other ways of doin it as well. |

Most intuitive way to do this: Select an empty pattern (best for this is the 'main automation' pattern I suppose), then hit record and start the playback by hitting space. There you can make all knob movements you want in real time while the song is playing. When youre done, hit space again. FL has then created an automation clip for you in which all knob movements you made are stored. It's as easy as that.
What you are looking for is probably either a simple volume increase or a filter cutoff increase. To do this, put a lowpass filter on your instrument, and then gradually increase the cutoff. |
