So, i have the djm 800, its pretty nice, but the filters on there aren't exactly what I am looking for.
Basically during some buildups i have heard some djs, particularly junkie xl, build up the song with a fwoooooooossssshhhhhhhhhhhhh sound before dropping the beat hard
i was wondering if i could achieve that effect with this:

or if i would need another tool alltogether
i know junkie xl uses a crazy old 80s korg to do it, and i dont even know where to find one of those, so it isnt an option
thanks |

| The only extra sound you'll get with your filters would be caused by Resonance. The "fwoooooooosh!" that Junkie uses sounds like it's caused by a synth. I've never heard a filter do that before. |

| What you're describing does seem to be like the Resonance effect on Torq that I'm familiar with. Maybe it's something else though like a combo phaser/flanger? :conf: |

it basically sounds like a buildup of white noise
any way to do this with effects? |

morillo tours with three stanton DJF-1's...which are discontinued.
Vermona Dj Action filter II is what you want as it is basically a repackaged stanton.
Yes it gives the whoosh sound you describe- thats the resonance. |

| does anyone know a good store that would sell the filter in the states? It seems like very few dj retailers have it |
