ello All.

After being inspired by the AirDrawnDagger thread in the DJ booth. I've decided to create a thread where everyone can post up links to any remix packages they know of.

The "Remix Package" is something i've only really known about for a short time and it would be great if any helpful TA's out there would post up any links to remix packages or remix "competitions" that they know of.

Regardless of what type of EDM it is, link it up. From minimal to psy to funky house.

All in all this is just to stir up a bit of inspiration and it would be nice to hear any work that spawns from these packages.

Thanks Again.

Here's one by a German Nu Metal Band. I think this stuff is quite interesting to remix..

-> remix it

there it says in German, that the copyright stays with the label and you must send your remix in wav format to the label to the adress you see at the bottom.

Site sponsored by Sony re their Acid software - http://www.acidplanet.com/ - they usually have several remix competitions going at once, and new ones in a regular stream.

I know of someone who has done a large number of house remixes from these competition packages. Excellent way to build the skills.

I'm not sure if you must use Acid to enter the competitions, probably not. Haven't gotten into production myself.

Also on the Acidplanet site are the weekly "8pack" freebie samples (a new one every Friday, with a demo track made from the samples). And if you have a look around the pages that describe the Sony loop/sample packages they have for sale, they have some WAV files that might be useful, although they're just to demonstrate what is the packages.

No, you can use any production software you like, just use the samples provided and no other copyrighted material - and your own ideas of course!
