Of course...
then again... only 20% of the projects chosen for funding are english project... that means 80% are french... not fair in my opinion but GRRRRRRRRR.... what the ever happened to equality... |

do you mean, 20% of submitted english projects are approved compared to 80% of french project?
or you mean 20% of approved projects are english?
cause the latter is a pretty good number, considering anglophones are about 8-9% of the population and if you count immigrants not even 20%. |

I believe they should not judge projects based on language but based entirely on artistic merit...
20/100 are english projects. 80/100 are french projects. |

I wish that were so Malek but I called and was told that they received 150 french projects to something around 120 english projects. Of that 80% of the chosen is ALWAYS french, it is not dependent on how many projects they receive. :(
I just believe they should get rid of this % and just give projects based on their artistic merit and profit potential. I'm the biggest fan of Quebecois films and their stars and will continue to be so for the rest of my life but a double standard does exist here.

I have a great idea for a film, i'll give you the lowdown on it i just dont want to give too much of it away, well basically its about this whole group of people that are so addicted to the internet the have a hard time leaving thier computers to take a piss, basically what we do is fololow thier really entertaning lives since they do so much in thier day you know. The movie will go something like this Person X sits at the pc, gets on the internet, refreshs web pages a couple of thousand times a day waiting for osmeone to reply to thier petty post . . . and then eventually 10 years later they die of obiesty or a heartattack you pick?
Any feedback would be great :D
I am sure all of you can relate to such a great story line. |
