Hiya guys..:)
Ok..I bought hardware a couple of months ago..but now I'm lookin' for some excellent headphones... :D
Right, I've been using Sony headphones for the past month..but I'm not thrilled with them at all...to weak for my reckoning...so I was wondering what headphones to get out of these two:
1)Pioneer HDJ-1000
2)Technics RPDH1200
They're both about the same price..but was wondering which is better??
I know the Senheiser headphones are the best BUT they're a bit more expensive..so I wanted to know the better of these two.
Thx alot guys!
Cheers

senheiser hd-25
I wouldn't go near the pioneer 1000 headphones, from what i hear they suffer badly from cracking issues. I rekcon just get the hd-25 and never upgrade again. I started of with pioneer dj5000 headphones and recently bought hd-25s from chemical-records.co.uk for $200 cheaper then what they sell for in Australia.
Or go the sony 7605 which ive never heard a bad review about. |

he does. The bass is a bit overblown on them and it distorts when you turn them up, and they're heavy as can be. I had a pair & they recently cracked, but they did last a little less than a year & a half. The pioneers sound better, but break more easily. |

Technics RPDJ1210's - all the way for me.
(I know you're looking at the RH - but I love the RP's.) |

I know the Pios have better sound quality..but break easily..how come??
The RPs don't look as good as the others :D

I dunno actually, I think the RH's look too similar to the Sony MDR700's - well, if you squnit a bit.
I like how tidy the RPs are, they fit, they're light(ish) and the sound like you want them to.
I bought the Sony 700's when they came out because I loved how they looked - I got rid of them after a couple of months as they were like standing next to a bass bin.. underwater. That was the last time I bought a set of nut-phones based on looks. |
