Did anybody else get started on this CD or have any opinions? This CD is what first got me into Trance (along with PVD- Out there and back) back in 2000/2001, when I was like 8. I think it is the perfect collection of Trance and is great for beginners. If it wasn't for that CD, I wouldn't be here on this forum today.
For some who has been listening to trance for a while, though, i'm sure they would think it was jsut mediocre but I still reccomend it. The mixing by ATB and acosta is perfect. |

I've found myself listening to TN4: Ferry Corsten kind of a lot again lately :p
It may be pure chedda, but I still love it :) |

I just got into the first CD mixed by Jimmy van m, much more progressive and much deeper but it kicks ass. |

I'm shocked I've never heard Jimmy's disc.
Gonna have to track it down.

I remember it being something special when it came out. My friends were all talking about it, so I bought it, and I enjoyed listening to it then. Now its scratched to hell like all the CDs I bought in High School.

The first TNA was beautiful throughout. Jimmy Van M's mix for it was pretty much perfect, IMO. There needs to be more trance like that out in the world.
The second TNA (with ATB and George Acosta) was cheese and . |

trance nation 2001 was my favourite.. especially CD2. link
unfortunately an ex-gf of mine has it now & i'm likely to never see it back :(
i've just given TNA a search on discogs & the tracklist looks rather tasty indeed. definitely doesn't seem like the kind of thing MOS would put out.. what with well known anthems being so thin on the ground & only 11 tracks per disc
will give it a search:) |

Hehe. I've often wondered if ol' M was having a piss-take on Trance Nation when he got to do that.
Jimmy: "Here's a PROPER trance mix."
MoS: "Oh, . It sounds NOTHING like Corsten's mixes though."
Jimmy: "Well, then just get someone else to do it next time."
MoS: "Alright. Who sounds like Ferry? Acosta?? Sure, and we'll get that ATB guy too to recoup our sales."
Hilariously, they managed to release a third TNA, featuring Mike Rizzo and DJ Drew. Who? Exactly. |
