| Just noticed this while looking for a release date for the new album, & thought some might be interested. Yes, that's live, not a DJ Set. |

I'd go to this...if he doesn't add any other dates, I might even have to find a way to make it up there for it. |

Vath in the states (especially Chicago) is tough for anyone to beat for me :) |

One of the worlds greatest Dj's vs. a pretty good producer from my perspective ;) |

eek
well, to each his own.
Nothing against Sven, but I can't think of (m)any shows for which I'd miss out on Amon Tobin live. |

wow, what a night, tobin is absurdly talented.
the crowd was a really interesting dynamic, the first part of the show was more lounge-drum & bass (a la four ton mantis), and the entire crowd was just.. swaying in unison.
when the heavy drum and bass kicked in, the place nearly exploded.
i was really impressed at his control of the crowd for the night.. tobin was the puppet master, literally moving people with strings that was his music.
anyone else catch this show? smartbar afterward was pretty sweet too, but isnt it always?
razzi. |
