first gig on cdj 1000's

hey i never acutally played on these thing how are they compear to my cdj 800 mk2,,,,,,and the denons .........
im not really consurned just wondering.what i can expet from the cdj 1000.

Expect it to be able to hold a mix better than 800's & Denons! haha.
Serious tho, u'll prob want to upgrade after using them. Everything else just dosent compare. |

| They are a lot more accurate and sensitive then the 800's so be careful of changing the pitch or moving the platter too much. Other then that, have fun! Those things are great to play on! :) |

| I was in your situation for some weeks ago, i was quite nervous but it was absolutely no problem! It's hard to mess up a mix with cdj 1000, no need to worry;) |

| same as the 800.... not to worry, just if you use loops, u have to make them yourself, u dont have a 1/2 beat loop and 1/4 1/8 etc... |

That was how my first gig went. It's no sweat, and there's really nothing you should be worried about.
And Nachos, the easy fix to get used to that is by creating your own loops on the 800. I never use the preset buttons on mine. |

yea,,,,,
i killed it!!!,,,i was wicked..im going to be there evry friday so yeah i got my self a little part-timer
and with the cdj 1000 compare to my 800's.....well
the 1000's are rediculesley sick,,,,there like idiot proof,,,you cant up on the 1000;s i had mixes going for like 45second to a minute 1 1/2 well they all loved it..after my set was done at 3:30am they crowd was yelling and yelling for more....the owner came to me and politley asked me for onother 1/2hour and i said with pleasure.
man if you master the 800's..........the 1000's are like for noobs...

Congrats!
Kinda off topic but I hope this is the same for technics/numarks. I can hold mixes down with my numarks but pitch bending is constant, hopefully by the time I touch techs it should be cake. |
