I never seem to find anyone interested in Trance in Portsmouth (UK). There doesn't seem to be much of a scene here. Amazing for a city of 500,000 people!
Any out there. Please post a reply! |

well its no longer weekly but still has monthly events. Its a mixture of hard dance and trance although last month was pretty much entirely trance.
Bit south-coast event coming up is Godskitchen @ Bournemouth International Centre with Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Eddie Halliwell, Marcel Woods, Second Sun.......... |

I live in Portsmouth, "used" to go to slinky alot but with no more Oprah House and the fact the elements sucks, nah. Went to turnmills last friday on the national express £2 return funfair, think i'll do that more often in the future, Locally it sucks, went to contact a few weeks ago, not thx to the slinky coach not picking me up. Was okay night out, tho it took a few beers to get well into it.
I'll be at the bic tho, was there last year, everything was a blast besides for the que |

Used to go to uni in Pompey, its a great place to live but Trance is restricted to the bus to Bournemouth or London each week :)
AS Piet says, its easy to get to London as well. Just go into any of the shops on Albert Road and pick up the fliers for all the bus trips.
Maybe we should have a little trance party round your house Piet? :) |

Hardly ever post on here, but yeah iam a big trance fan. Used to go the OH and honeyclub. Will be going to turnmills in the future. Piet, last time I went to turnmills I went via train from Havant cost about £25. Whats the catch with national express then? Have you used the megabus? |

Nope, ive done the national express a few times like that for £2, if you book early you should pick up a for £2return easily. just example of a random date - early march, look like this:
http://www.nationalexpress.com/bp/b2.cfm?id=80521114
Now thats well worth it, you can go to Turnmills at night and just come straight back the next morning, Freak! we pay like £3 atleast getting from southsea to north end on a normal bus! compare that with £2 to london :)
Don't do the megabus. This one girl from work said there something like a megatrain too, but thats only for either very early in the morning or very late at night, going to check it out next time im im heading to london.
Zag2me haha, you know i slap the decks on a daily bases. Waiting for summer, so we can take the party to the beach. BEER!!! oh i just had another clean weekend, saving myself for Armin @ Passion:) :) :) |

Cheers guys, nice to know I'm not alone.
I went to the GK event at the BIC last year as well. You might have seen me (I had reptile contacts in my eyes).
Was a bit disappointed with it though. Wasn't as good as I thought it could have been. Might check out the next one though.
Other than that, it will be Trance Energy 2007, Holland in March, Tiesto's concert, Holland in June and Global Gathering 2007.
D'ya know of anything going on in London on Thursdays? Will be there every week until June for a music course so I want to check out some parties afterwards.
P.S Hope you were joking about the anal sex KildaDJ! Not up my alley! |

There are about 5 trance fans in Southampton lol, myself included.
Used to be 8 but Dave, Olly and Martin moved to London.
Although having said that, the hour or so of trance we do in the 2nd room (alongside all the house, electro & d'n'b etc) at the Soton Student's Union on Friday nights seems to be getting more and more popular!
There's a huge hard dance/hardcore contingent in Portsmouth, so maybe you should consider calling yourself "lil baby raver 4", getting hooked on speed and/or ket, getting a tatoo saying "hardcore till i die" (preferably spelling at least one of those words wrong, if not all 4) and wearing very silly fluffy luminous clothes while chewing on a dummy and hopping around to Lisa Pin-Up, the Tidy Boys, Hixxy and DJ Sy? |
