Probably the powercore with the virus powercore multi license.
unlimited virus b's (well, limited to the ammount of processing units on your DSP card) for the price of about 1 second hand virus b :D
Cheaper than a TI and nearly the same possibilities, put in a software plug...

Those processing cards are awesome!

I dont this this is true.....you can get a virus b for about $650 USD and a cheap powercore for about $400 and the virus powercore for about $350...then the multi license for $249, yes u can have multiple viruses but it still costs more. Thats about $1000.

i would be careful buying dsp cards. They don't run on alot of sound card / mobo configurations. Having said that , i own 2 UAD and 2 powercore with pretty much every plugin available. They rock.

On average the virus is more expensive here in NL ;). At least 25%.

Then again, paying a bit more than a virus b for multiple? :D
And some other plugins of course... The software flexibility...
I'd prefer it over a hardware B any day, personally.

just remember that the Virus Powercore is modeled after the Virus A/indigo 1 technology...and its said that the osc's are just a bit more dirty than the b...but that could also be the D/A converters..i'm not really sure.
RichieV
the A only has 2 ossilators. The PowerCore virus is identical to the B. I'm almost certain.
Storyteller
I thought so too... I was left it doubt by that 2nd post back though.

Yo might be right but all I'm saying is that the powecore virus is built after indogo 1 technology...therefor the oscillators programing is different....the oscillators are not identical to the virus b. I'm sure they are pretty close though.
Subtle
what is the deal with the Virus Indigo, pro and cons ?
Storyteller
- CON
It has a smaller keyboard then a normal virus with keys.
It is more expensive.
It's has got too few keys.
I'd rather have a rack/desktop version.

- something in between
It has the same features as the virus serie it is part of.

- PRO
It looks cool.
It looks so cool.
Damn it looks cool
Did I mention it looks really cool?
Subtle
so its suppose to be kind of a mini-virus with keys, and the same specs ?

Yes, same specs.
The Indigo is a Virus B and the Indigo II is a Virus C as far as I know.

Nothing beats the Virus TI Goldfilter. Wouldn't it be cool to own this?

Too bad they don't sell it. :(
