i am in the process of choosing the components of my first real setup and now i have the choice between these two mixers
the thing is im from canada and i want to buy locally because i don't want the hassles that come with the shipping issue and the brokerage and waiting for it to get here
now i checked all the reviews, used the search function and everything but it didn't help me because the prices in the US arent the same as here in Canada so it influences my choices
(example: here in canada the djm-800 is cheaper than the xone92 unlike in the US)
and i was looking for a good mixer for around 1000$ and the two best choices for me that ae in the same range are the xone62 and the ecler nuo4 wich are around 950$cdn for both
now i know that in quality they are around the same, they both have great sound, one has midi, the other one has the filters
right now more people are steering me towards the ecler because it has more functions but i really like the look of the xone and heard great things about it so i really don't know what to choose anymore |

Hey! Fellow montrealer! ;)
Well, there both very different mixers....like you said, one has filters, and the other has MIDI controls...
So its up to you...if you use TRAKTOR or Ableton (or plan to use it soon), then go for the NUO4. Its very versatile in the sense that it has adjustable curves and reverse on all channels, good EQ's with kills, PRE/POST FX loop for external FX, and of course the MIDI controls...
The XONE:62 is still great too... |

actually i own M-Audio Torq so it's controlable by midi so that's why i was tinking about the nuo
but then again i really like the Xone (although i find that 6 channels are way overkill for my needs) |

| Me thinks the Nuo 4 has 2 channels that are midi capable, so if you were using Torq and maybe another deck I think it would work out nicely. |

| Go with the Nuo for the midi. It's a nice mixer besides that anyway. |

It's okay but I swear there was one I read at least a month ago, the exact same title. |

I think it was the Nuo5 vs Xone92.
Or maybe Nuo4 vs Xone32
In which case everyone said the 32 and go for the Nuo, lol.
I owned a Xone62, awesome ass mixer but my filters ed up and I got pissed after a while and took it back to the store.
Most people dont have any serious problems with it like that though, so doncha worry!
Also my buddy owns a Nuo4 and Nuo5 now since he upgraded, and I've messed about on the nuo4 (not the 5 yet hehe havent been over in a while).
I really love the Nuo4, really I do, I considered buying one a while back, anyhow its also a solid ass mixer, although the mids on it can be on the heavy side thats for sure! |
