Ya, I thought that it was strange. So I googled it and found out. There were some links to the site aswell but they don't load well if you approach them from someplace other then myspace, go figure.... |

You think MySpace is any more private?
You can change your privacy settings on Facebook. |

Did you even watch the whole thing? If you did then you'd get the point, and the point being of who is actually behind Facebook. |

| Porky |
couldn't myspace share the same info? |

I'll just debunk your bull right here.
First, how private your information is entirely up to YOU - you can make your profile and ALL info invisible to everyone but your friends. Those that whine about their private options being public are obviously too stupid to go to the 'My Privacy' link on the left, which is not hidden in any way, but grouped together with 'my profile', 'my friends', 'my messages', etc.
Second, the "terms of service" was a legal way of saying that any information you post on Facebook becomes property of Facebook. Check myspace and all those other member sites - it says the exact same thing. By giving them your information, you agree that they are the holder of that information. DUH. Hey, when you signed up for Ebay, it said the exact same .
Third, they move on to such controversial topics as creating statistics, because being part of a statistic violates your privacy so much, and you of course are NEVER part of a statistic such as those collected by Statistics Canada about every in month.
Fourth, when they started tracing Facebook back to CIA through like 5 links of previous involvement, that takes the cake. Wow, FOR SURE that points to CIA being behind the whole thing. How could I have missed that. And then they go to describe what those groups do which are apparently tied in with Facebook, like any of those activities have anything to do with Facebook at all. Yeah, my car rental transcripts are all over Facebook man.
"all this raises more questions than answers" Yeah, good job dip, what a ing revelation. Too bad you didn't provide any answers to any of it, but, just like any conspiracy theorist, have created a lot of "what ifs" and "maybes" that really are nothing more than than carefully formed fiction. |

P.S. 8wonders, here's why myspace is about a MILLION times less secure than Facebook - they have an HTML parser embedded in their site. And any time you have a parser that parses code inputted by members, you're leaving your gates WIDE OPEN to exploits which manipulate the parser. Look up SQL injection, or even php code injection. Exactly the same principle with HTML parsers.
Facebook doesn't have any place that parses code - it only takes text input and re-displays it. It doesn't care what the text is. That's a crucial difference in terms of security, which is why these worms are popping up on myspace now. |
